Exhibition, workshop, conversations
The Art Exhibition Rubbish and Recycling: Superheroes shows works of pupils. In the class project ‘Superheroes’, students of the first and second class of the Rosa Parks Primary School finish their hero costumes made from recycled rubbish. We exhibit a photographic documentation by Markus Georg und Tina Hohmann, who lead the students.
In the class project ‘Architecture out of the bin’, led and initiated by the artists Alexandra Goloborodko und Aleksandra Civjane, students created collages and four architectural models. We displayed the new structures of the Matthäus Church, Rathaus Steglitz, the Schlosstheater und Gutshaus Steglitz.
Accompanying the exhibition and under the leadership of Anna Rehe, visitors collaboratively created a „Wandteppich-R“ (wallpaper) out of recycled materials. The visitors are welcomed to weave themselves into the art work with found textiles and colourful donations.
