Exhibition – Talks – 17.3. to 12.5.2017
Group Global 3000 asks the artists about the light today that is affecting us and nature. We change the natural light through our technology such as glass, buildings, air pollution. We humans emit the artificial light wasted into space. We barely find the darkness. Stars are lost. Insects are dying in the light traps of unsuitable street lamps. We humans waste electricity through outdated lamps and experience pale light from bad energy saving lamps and LEDs. Many buyers do not yet know the new measure for color reproduction RA / CRI> 80 .
18 artists show their positions to the topic with collage, object, installation, photo, painting, graphics, video and performance:
Jully Acuna, Sandra Becker, Marieke Bolhuis, Marzena Brandt, Diego Caglioni, Maks Dannecker, Bernd Fuchs, Mariel Gottwick, Stephan Gross and Jörn Birkholz, Maria Korporal, Linda Lenssen, Sonja Mischor, Korvin Reich, Andreina Vieira dos Santos und Mahsa Asgari, Peggy Sylopp, Agatha Zbylut.
Light breaks in real melting ice. A darkroom speaks. A object goes to enlightenment. Pictures are light polluted. A man from broken safety glass illuminates. Sun sinks behind a curtain of smog.
Opening 17.3., 19:00, Performance- Installation von Mahsa Asgari und Andreina Vieira dos Santos.

With: guṇa गगण – a light and sound performance by Feedback Laborator. PGYS aka Peggy Sylopp & jayemsonic aka Jürgen Michaelis. (Video 2:53)
What happens when light responds infinitely repetitively to itself, when an originally clean input picture continues to pollute?
During the performance guṇa videos by Peggy Sylopp are shown. She takes the environment with the camera and mixes the image in different strength with itself, means she creates visual feedback with the software she has written. So the video projections show in flowing transitions the camera image, kaleidoscope effects and chaotic feedback patterns, i.e. fractals.
Jürgen Michaelis creates with the Akasha synth sounds based on the chaos of feedback systems. The acoustic machine speaks to itself in echo with neuron synthesis.
Both work with electronic feedback, one visual, the other acoustic.
The performance plays with the structured order of the machine and its chaos. The electronic feedback systems generate unforeseen and only limited controllable sounds and lights, yet both have an own aesthetic.
